General Questions

Who can stay in LA Intern housing?

Housing is available to graduate or undergraduate students employed as interns. Students enrolled full time in college may also apply.

Is the housing co-ed?

Students and interns are assigned to apartment based upon gender. Each building may have a mix of male and female apartments in it.

What is the relationship between LA Intern and Providence Christian College?

LA Intern is a program of Providence Christian College that serves students and interns living in Los Angeles. Providence is an accredited undergraduate college located in Pasadena, California.

Application and Cost

Can I reserve housing for dates outside of the listed terms?

We have a few spots available for early arrivals and late departures. Please email us with your request. We will check availability and let you know if it is possible and what the additional cost would be.

Can LA Intern prorate my cost for shorter stays?

LA Intern is unable to prorate your cost for a shorter stay. Other applicants may want the apartment spot for the entire term.

How do I request a specific roommate?

When you complete the housing application, please list the name of other interns or students with whom you would like to live.

How do I guarantee my spot in LA Intern housing?

In order to guarantee your spot in LA Intern housing you must make full payment by the payment deadlines.

What do I need to complete the application?

To complete the application you will need the following:

  • a headshot picture of you
  • a credit or debit card to pay the $150 application fee
  • social security number
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation requests must be received by letter or email. All money is refundable with the exception of the application fee up until the move in day.
What types of payment are accepted?
LA Intern accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal payments.

How do I check-in and check-out of my apartment?

To check in our out of your apartment, please go to the LA Intern website and schedule an appointment by clicking here. When you arrive at your apartment building call (626) 696-4050. One of the LA Intern staff members will come to meet you.

Upon arrival you will be asked to review the apartment and complete a move-in form. On this form please note any broken items. LA Intern will use this same form when you move-out to check for damage that may have happened to the room while you were in residence.

How do I request a room repair?

To request a room repair simply complete the room maintenance request form.

Can I have overnight guests?

Overnight guests are allowed as long as the following policies are followed:

  • The host must complete an overnight guest form 24 hours before the guest is to arrive.
  • The total number of nights that a guest may stay per summer in a student or intern’s apartment is five.
Can I have pets in LA Intern?
No pets of any kind are allowed in LA Intern housing. If you have a service or assistance living animal, please email us at LAIntern@ProvidenceCC.edu with questions and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Does LA Intern allow alcohol?
No alcohol is permitted in any LA Intern housing or premises. This includes balconies, laundry room, parking lot, and common areas.
My roommate and I are having serious conflict. What should I do?
Email us at LAIntern@ProvidenceCC.edu and we will follow-up with you.
What furniture and appliances are included in my apartment?
The following furniture is included in your apartment:

  • bed
  • dresser
  • desk
  • chair
  • refrigerator
  • dishwasher
  • stove
  • oven
  • couch
